We’re out with the nudes and in with you bolds this summer, as cosmetics brands release a wave of bright lipsticks to match all the colours of the rainbow. Here are a few of my personal favourites that I’ll definitely be trying out this summer!
LA Splash – Liquid Lipstick in Dia de los Muertos
LA Splash have recently come out with a series of incredibly juicy looking liquid lipsticks in a range of lip smacking colours, including this beautiful metallic purple. It’s a liquid lipstick that dries matte but has a shimmery gold finish to it. Love.
Lime Crime Perlee Metallic Lipstick in Denim
I’m really loving Lime Crime at the moment as this young brand are paving the way for experimental makeup. New York based Lime Crime founding makeup artist Doe Deere developed the brand after feeling there was a lack of bright and bold lipsticks to suit her outfits (and personality) on the market. I’m so happy they’re around as they truly are an inspirational brand!
Nars Audacious Lipstick in Dominique
An old favourite and classic brand. I love Nars lipsticks, especially the Audacious range in Dominique, with its pinkish-lilac pigment and satin finish, it’s a perfectly dreamy colour to welcome in summer days with.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Catnip
I recently wrote a blog post about one of my favourite lip products, the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick range. Her liquid lipstick range comes in an array of colours, including this bright and bold shade called Catnip, and dry perfectly matte without drying out your lips. I love this colour for both day and evening looks.
Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Lip Potion in Savage Garden
Estee Lauder are getting in touch with their darker side with this lush deep purple lipstick. I love how moisturising this lipstick looks with its sheen finish and recon it would great with an ombré lip too!
Kat von D Liquid Lipstick in Ayesha
I get festival vibes when I see this beautiful pastel shade from Kat von D’s liquid lipstick range. This could would look just perfect with ice blonde, pastel purple, and jet black hair
Urban Decay Through the Looking Glass lipstick range
I’m also a huge fan of Urban Decay’s Through the Looking Glass lipstick range, which was
launched to celebrate the sequel to Disney’s Alice in Wonderland film. The colours are rich and
highly pigmented, which makes them the perfect lipsticks for a bold lip look. Which one’s your
favourite? I can’t decide!
