Inspirational lip art looks by makeup artist Vlada Haggerty
Lip art has recently become an overnight internet sensation, as makeup artists have been creating imaginative lip looks and sharing them via social media. One of my favourite makeup artists to have jumped on the lip art bandwagon is Los Angeles based Vlada Haggerty, who creates and posts magical lip art images on her Instagram account. Here are a few of her looks that I’m looking forward to recreating this summer!
Created using a bright and bold matte liquid lipstick and cleverly placed sparkling sugar sprinkles. This is one hot lips look that’s made for the summer.
Created using a dark blue lipstick, glitter, stick on stars and a clear lipgloss. I love how dramatic, yet dreamy this vamped up look is.
This peachy pout really isn’t that difficult to achieve. You’ll need to layer up a well pigmented coral based liquid lipstick and carefully coat your upper lip with gold pigment, adding a few sprinkles of gold glitter to your bottom lip. Finish the look off with a non-sticky clear lipgloss.
The makeup artist created these playful rainbow lips using a new form of metallic pigments. This is a perfect look for the summer and especially Notting Hill Carnival, which is on during the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Here’s another one of her vampish evening look lips, which I absolutely adore! Here Vlada has applied a dark liquid lipstick base, red glitter gloss and dark blue glitter to her lips and finished it all off with a non-stick clear gloss. I’m loving this look for a night out on the town.
