Woke up late with little time to get ready for work this morning? Kiss goodbye to morning prep stress by following these simple morning makeup routine hacks.
A quick slick of petroleum jelly is the one
Slick on a bit of Vaseline to your eyelids, cheeks and lips, for a dewy morning look.
Lips in rouge
Just let your lips do the talking! Red lipstick can brighten up even the most tired looking faces without the need to focus on other elements of your usual makeup routine.
BB cream = your morning makeup friend
BB creams are the way to go if you don’t have time to apply a separate moisturiser, SPF and foundation as they contain all of these relevant components in one tube. It’s the ultimate lazy girl hack sorted!
Multi-purpose it with a lip and cheek cream
Yes there is such a thing as multipurpose makeup and it goes by the name of lip and cheek cream. Lip and cheek creams kill two birds with one stone and are incredibly easy to apply. Not enough time to apply eyeshadow either? You can use your lip and cheek cream on your eyelids too, but be sure to stick to a neutral colour like a creamy pink, or peach for a more understated daytime look.
Bold and bright eyes
Go bold on the eyes with a bright, or sheer eyeshadow, liquid liner or mascara. As with choosing a bold red lipstick, you’ll have just enough ‘pop’ and focus on your eyes not to have to focus on any other part of your face. I’d recommended leaving the lipstick for another day if you do choose to focus on your eyes.
Highlight those eyes

Liven up tired eyes by lining your waterline (the inner lower lids of your eyes) with a nude, or white pencil.
Quick fix strobe

Strobing your cheekbones and forehead with a subtle shimmer powder will not only lighten up and accentuate your features, it’ll also give you a dewy Summer glow without the added effort of contouring and highlighting.
Goodbye bushy brows

No time to manage unruly eyebrows? Simply slick a coat of clear mascara over your brows for a temporary, yet super quick fix.
Seriously, I’m majorly late for work

If you really don’t have time for any of the above, reach out for your concealer and cover up under eye bags to give you an instant fresh faced look. The best way to apply your concealer is to draw and fill in an inverted triangle shaped patch of concealer that starts under your lower lash line area and points down towards your cheek. Concealing your bags in this way not only lightens up the bag area, but also creates a highlighting effect for the whole face.
