Highlighting facial features is crucial when contouring the face and one of the products I swear by when applying makeup on my clients is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit. Time and again this little firecracker of a product has proven to impress the public, makeup artists and beauty bloggers alike.
The ABH Glow Kit is a set of four metallic highlighter powers, which when applied, add luminosity to facial features. The kit comes in two colour themes, Gleam and That Glow. The Gleam kit sports more peachy tones and was created to channel a Winter “ice-queen” look, though it also perfectly compliments fair skin tones. That Glow comes with warmer bronze tones, which generally compliment all skin tones.
However, neither the Gleam or That Glow were designed for specific skin tones and colours, and the beauty of these palettes is that there’s a colour in each of them for all of you! So, how are you supposed to use the Glow Kit? First, I’ll start off by saying that this really is a versatile product that can be used in a number of ways. I personally use the ABH Glow Kit to highlight the high plains of the face and also add them to eyeshadows to give an added pop to eyeshadow colours. To highlight, I lightly sweep the power across cheekbones, brow bones and collar bones, though it can be applied to any part of the face you’d like to draw attention to. The lighter colours can also be used as blushers and the more bronzed tones work wonders at enhancing a tan as a bronzer.
How big a hole will you be burning in your pocket with the ABH Glow Kit? Considering you get four large sets of colours per palette, £39 really isn’t breaking the bank, especially as it will last you a good long while.
Lastly, where exactly can you get your mits on a set? You can purchase the ABH Glow Kit online at Cult Beauty and The Beauty Bay.
Ladies, enjoy!
