Nude lips aren’t the easiest look to achieve, especially when choosing the right shade of nude is hard enough. Here’s my step by step guide on getting a long-last nude lip right every time.
As you’re going in for the nude, you’ll want to start off by priming your lips to perfection. I always begin with the Charlotte Tilbury lLp Scrub and Lip Magic, which I use to exfoliate my lips in order to start off with a smooth base. The key ingredient in the scrub is propolis, an elixir created by bees, which they use to protect the lining of of their beehives. It’s super moisturising and helps to heal any cracks in my lips.
The secret to long-lasting lipstick is to use a concealer before your lipstick application, so go ahead and apply your regular concealer all over your pout until you’ve set a base for your lipstick application.
Next, I line my lips with a nude lipliner, making sure I colour match it to my nude lipstick beforehand of course. I love the Charlotte Tilbury Iconic Nude lipliner, as well as the Revlon Colourstay Nude liner. Make sure your liner is smudge and wonky edge free before moving forward.
Finally, I apply my nude lipstick on top of my concealer and lipliner. My current personal favourites are the Anastasia Beverly Hills Pure Hollywood, the Charlotte Tilbury Nude Kate and the Revlon Nude Attitude, but I suggest you pick a nude to suit your tone.
Everyone’s loving a good matte lip these days, but if you’d like to give a bit of shine to your nude lips, just add a dot of non-sticky, clear lip gloss to your lipstick and there you have it!
